this person is really the great one who resides gladly in Piramapuram possessing greatness, where the Lord bestowed his grace on Piramaṉ who is seated in a (lotus) flower having petals, who bowed to him and worshipped him, in the distant past.
[[Cīkāli has twelve name of which Piramapuram is one; as Piramaṉ worshipped the Lord, with his consort, the goddess of learning it got the name of Piramapuram.]]
[[Piramāpuram: the long letter is used to suit the metre. The fact that Piramaṉ worshipped the Lord in Cīkāḻi is mentioned in other decades of Ñāṉacampantar;

the thief who captivated my mind, having collected alms in a bowl of skull from which the flesh has completely disappeared.
கற்றல் கேட்டல் உடையார் பெரியார் கழல் கையால் தொழுது ஏத்த
The great people who have learning and knowledge acquired by listening to words of wisdom worship with folded hands and praise him.
பெற்றம் ஊர்ந்த பிரமாபுரம் மேவிய பெம்மான் இவன் அனறே

the thief who captivated my mind, by coming to me in order to collect alms with gladness to heart, in the bright skull.
மண் மகிழ்ந்த அரவம் மலர்க் கொன்றை மலிந்தவரை மார்பில்
in the chest comparable to the mountain where there are abundant koṉṟai flowers and cobras which live in ant-hills desirous of them.

The thief who captivated my mind through the means of their talk and sat in my mind making it his own place.
ஓர்காலம் கருமை பெற்ற கடல் கொள்ள
when the blue sea covered the earth at the end of the world.
இது மிதந்தது என்னப் பெருமை பெற்ற பிரமாபுரம் மேவிய பெம்மான் இவன் அற்றே

This person is truly the Lord who resides gladly in Piramāpuram where that famous crescent moon scatters its light here and there in the very tall natural gardens and fragrant and dark flower gardens.

கடல் முயங்கு கழிசூழ் குளிர்கானல்
in the cool sea-shore garden surrounded by the back-water combining with the sea.
பொன் அம் சிறகு அன்னம்
the male swans which have beautiful feathers.
பெடை முயங்கு பிரமாபுரம் மேவிய பெம்மான் இவன் அன்றே
this person is truly the Lord who resides gladly in Piramāpuram, where (the male swans) embrace their mates.

every time when many universal deluges occur when all things are destroyed, appear in this world where sufferings outweigh happiness.

Māl going down a long distance as a pig and Piramaṉ going a long distance in the sky as a swan [[நீணுதல்-நீளுதல்]] and abandoning their effort.

this person is truly the Lord who resides in Piramāpuram gladly, which was desired intensly to be worshipped by the people of this world beginning with the ladies with bright forehead.

Buddhists and the unfortunate camaṇar to slander about Civaṉ and to speak words of similar ideas and transgress all limits of decency.

மத்த யானை மறுக உரி போர்த்து ஓர் மாயம் இது என்னப்பித்தர் போலும் பிரமாபுரம் மேவிய பெம்மான் இவன் அன்றே
this person is truly the Lord who resides gladly in Piramāpuram, and is a like a mad man to be spoken derisively by people that the act of covering his body with the skin of a rutting elephant to make it bewildered

{$} அருநெறிய மறைவல்ல முனி அலர் மேய அகன் பொய்கை பெருநெறிய, பிரமாபுரம் மேவிய, பெம்மான் இவன் தன்னை
about this person who gladly resides in Piramāpuram who can lead one in the path of obtaining eternal bliss, that Piramāpuram which has a natural tank of lotus flowers deriving its name from Piramaṉ who is well versed in the Maṟai (Vētam) which has laid down many difficult ways of reaching god.
ஒரு நெறிய மனம் வைத்து உணர் ஞானசம்பந்தன் உரை செய்த திருநெறிய தமிழ்வல்லவர் தொல்வினை தீர்தல் எளிது ஆம்
the accumulated karmam in several previous birth of those who are able to recite the Tamiḻ verses which show the beautiful path; which were composed by Ñāṉacampantaṉ who realized god by fixing his mind and focussing his thoughts on him, will easily vanish
